Ballet is very aesthetic and versatile way of physical exercise. The students will learn turnout; turnout is one of the defining characteristics of classical ballet after all. Also their jump- and pirouettetechnique will start to strengthen, along with their overall balance. Dance lesson exercises for all ballet students include center floor exercises and exercises at the barre.
It is never too late to be a new beginner dance-student; we take into account the possible restrictions and limits of the adult body, when getting familiar with new dance techniques. In addition to technique training, these classes include fitness exercises related to building body elasticity, strength, and relaxation exercises.
A key part of classical ballet classes are related to getting ready to perform small choreographies. The ballet students’ attention to detail, posture, courage and ability to express with their dancing are sure to strengthen as well.
The group “Aikuisten baletti 1” is beginner friendly, and groups after that are related to the years of prior ballet (or other dancing) experience, the student might have. Don’t be afraid to ask, which one to join!
The duration of ballet classes for adults are 75 minutes.
Enrollment for new students is open. Spring semester begins on January 7th, 2025.
