Lappeenranta Dance Institute calls some of its dance groups “intensive”. Usually the term means, that that group is also taking part in some competitions along the year. “Intensive groups” have more than one dance class per week, and they are no longer beginners by any means.
You can recognize intensive dance groups from our training schedule by spotting the separate 15-30 minutes of dance training adjacent to some of the groups weekly classes; it is reserved time for choreography work.
When it comes to semester fees, intensive group -students pay an additional 50 € intensive group fee once a year. The additional fee, while quite small, is meant to cover some of the extra wardrobe-needs, planning for travels and choreography-work from the teachers.

- Jazzdance 4
- Modern dance 5

Students in the intensive groups have shown great dedication to dance, and perseverance through many years of practice. We’re happy to be able to offer such goal-oriented dance groups to form in this many dance genres – it’s an indisputable gift for our young dancers, to have so many opportunities for performing and even competing. We have such motivated teachers, who enjoy lifting our students up to the stages to shine time after time!
